You only find out how good an insurance company is when you make a claim. If you never make one, they are all wonderful, giving you the peace of mind to go about your life. Many people shop online for the cheapest option and if nothing goes awry, the policy you have chosen is absolutely perfect for you.
However, if you do make a claim then you find out the real truth. Some are much better than others. Many will try to wriggle out of paying by using small print by saying you are not covered this or that or your under-insured so they won’t make a full payout. This is where an insurance broker comes in. The best ensure that you get the right cover and if you make a claim, they fight for you and not for the insurance company.
Walter Wright is one of the best. I can give two examples, one was achieving business insurance cover for stock I hold in my garage. The usual insurance companies would just not entertain it, but Walter Wright Insurance found a suitable one at a very reasonable rate.
The other was when I had to make a claim due to a leaking radiator at my home. They sorted it all out with a minimum of fuss. The professionalism of their staff shone through. They did all the negotiating with the insurance company and the cheque came through shortly afterwards.
OK, you may pay a little more (it can be less) for the insurance through Walter Wright but it completely avoids the nightmare scenarios that you often see publicised on TV.
I now have all my business and personal insurances through Walter Wright.
